San Nicola<\/strong> is from Parma<\/strong> as… Rocca Pallavicino<\/strong>.
\nBuilt in the 11th century, the Rocca Pallavicino<\/strong>, now the seat of the Municipality of Busseto, has been reviewed and renovated several times over the centuries until the mid-1800s when it assumed its current neogothic appearance. “During this phase, the Giuseppe Verdi Theater, a flagship of the Province of Parma<\/strong>, is also built inside the Rocca Pallavicino.”<\/p>\n

A statue dedicated to the Maestro is also placed in front of the building, portraying the composer seated as if quietly admiring the life of his town.
\nGiuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi was not only an excellent composer but also actively participated in the political life of his time, sympathizing with the Risorgimento movement that aimed for the Unification of Italy.
