Over the years, it has been renovated several times to mark the entrance of important personalities to Parma, including the Emperor of Austria, Francis Joseph, and Napoleon Bonaparte.<\/p><\/h2><span class=\"awb-title-spacer\"><\/span><div class=\"title-sep-container title-sep-container-right\"><div class=\"title-sep sep- sep-solid\" style=\"border-color:var(--awb-color1);\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\" style=\"--awb-text-transform:none;\"><p class=\"p1\">Initially, the Arco had Baroque decorations and verse inscriptions, but these were lost due to weathering and disinterest in the monument.
