National Food Waste Prevention Day

Traditional Italian cuisine, famous throughout the world and recently recognised in its entirety as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is remembered for the saying ‘nothing is thrown away’.
How many times have we heard our grandmothers say this, and how relevant and sustainable this saying is!

Every year, about one third of the food produced is wasted. For National Food Waste Prevention Day, we want to remind you that there are many ways to avoid throwing away parts of prosciutto that would normally be discarded!
The end piece, for example, is more mature, contains more natural salts and has an intense flavour, making it perfect for adding flavour to dishes such as pasta, soups and risottos!
