The journey was long but it worth it: San Nicola PDO Ham met the Turrón de Ajónjolí

It is a toasted sesame seed crisp held together by brown sugar and honey.

The recipe is very old and has been handed down from generation to generation with variations: there are versions with sesame and some with peanuts flavored with cinnamon and lemon juice.
