San Nicola is from Parma like…the Auditorium Paganini
The Auditorium is one of Parma’s main concert venues and currently hosts the concert season of the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra.
The building is situated on the site of the former Eridania sugar factory; it was opened in 2001 and designed by the world-renowned architect Renzo Piano.
As well as being an important music venue, it is also a fine example of contemporary architecture!
In fact, whilst listening to concerts in the large dedicated hall, the audience can enjoy the picturesque view of the Parco della Musica through the large windows that offer a view of the outdoors.
