This is the Oltretorrente of Parma called in this way because it is located “across the water” from the city core. Destroyed and rebuilt twice throughout history, it couldn’t preserve, like the rest of the city, its Roman origin. It provides suggestive and unique historical views; in fact, the colorful puzzle of dwellings lining the stream is already, in itself, a monument of the city.
